Business East Tamaki wanted to provide its full network of 3,300 members with access to responsible e-waste recycling. With so many businesses spread across the area, the challenge lay in coordinating collections cost-effectively while ensuring secure data handling, accurate reporting, and minimal environmental impact.
Echo worked with the Business East Tamaki Trust to design an efficient collection program. By grouping multiple collections into single days, we reduced costs and emissions.
Secure, point-to-point collections were carried out from over 80 sites, with all materials weighed and processed at Echo’s facility. To give members peace of mind, Certificates of Destruction and Blancco Data Erasure Reports were issued.
In total, 5,155 kg of e-waste was collected and diverted from landfill, supported by streamlined billing and consolidated reporting for the Trust.
